Dear Language & Literacy Parents,

I wanted to reach out to you personally to confirm a few very important points as we prepare for the new school year. Language & Literacy will remain a tuition-free public charter school for our students. Our therapy services will continue to be free of charge to our students. We will have no additional fees, nor will we require our families to apply for scholarships. There is no cost to attend, and all services are provided free of charge. We will continue to offer free bus transportation to- and from- school for Polk County families. And every student is eligible to have breakfast and lunch on school days, free of charge.

We are absolutely dedicated to providing a supportive school setting that empowers every child to rise above their educational barriers. And to support their families by offering a school setting that is accessible, effective, and (yes!) fun for all. We’ll continue to provide participation opportunities for Special Olympics sports competitions, too.

In the midst of change, you have my commitment: Our mission is to serve every child the best possible therapies, programs and school environment, without additional hardships to their families. And our vision remains steadfast – to be nationally known for outstanding support services for students with disabilities. We look forward to welcoming your child (and your family) back to Language & Literacy Academy for Learning in August. Should you have any questions, we have people ready to answer them. Please call Admissions Counselor, Patricia Vaughn, at 863-268-2903 or email enrollment@llalschool.org.

Best Regards,

Tandria Callins Ph.D., CCC-SLP
Principal
